The Black Broward Elected Officials (BBEO) and the Florida Panthers are proud to present our inaugural Black Heritage Night—A Celebration with a Purpose! You are cordially invited to attend this event on February 22, 2018, starting at 5:30 pm at the Florida Panthers Arena- BB&T Center, 1 Panthers Parkway, Sunrise, Florida 33323. Come prepared for an evening of fun and excitement as we celebrate our rich history while giving back to community partners dedicated to serving the needs of those most impoverished in our communities. This networking, information sharing family-friendly affair will support the work of Broward’s Black Elected Officials, the United Negro College Fund and several local not-for-profits.
While fighting barriers to economic and social development are at the heart of the work we do, we must continue our campaign to galvanize our community around the issues and opportunities of vital importance. Our comprehensive vision to address the symptoms of poverty by promoting economic and social sustainability requires a collaborative effort, and that is why this event is so important. In addition to sharing information, we will honor the impact of our community partners by donating a percentage of the proceeds to support their work, as well as the work we do as elected officials.
Together we can build a prosperous and healthy Broward for all to live, work and play!
